Contraptions Exhibition
From Wye Waltz Wiki
Our Contraptions Exhibition showcases some of the best in steampunk making and artwork.
Entry to the Castle and exhibition is FREE with your festival wristband!
Most pieces have been invited or loaned by their makers. We're also keen for our guests to display their contraptions, so start riveting now and please bring them along. If you're planning anything especially large, please let us know beforehand, so that we can ensure there is display space.
Entrys for the exhibition need to be taken directly to the Castle between 9.30am and 10am on Saturday morning and removed by 3pm on Sunday
Our venue for the Exhibition is within Chepstow Castle, a fantastically atmospheric space for it. It's also a past filming location for Dr Who. Unusually for a castle it also has good lighting, electricity supply and plenty of space. There are rumours of a left-behind dragon in the basement though...
This year our Contraptions Exhibition will be curated by the talented and well respected author and contraptor James Richardson-Brown.
There is a Facebook group to organise Contraptors and their creations.
We're also grateful to the Bristol Dorkbot and Hackspace communities who have offered some interesting Devices of a Robotic nature...
Some of the Contraptions already have their own pages.
