The River Wye has long been recognised as one of the most beautiful rivers in the UK. A favourite of the Romantic Movement since the 18th century, the Wye Tour has been celebrated in art, books and a recent exhibition at Chepstow Museum.
In 2011 we arranged a boat trip for Saturday from Chepstow up-river to Lancaut. Down here in the tidal lower reaches of the Wye, boating requires local knowledge, so we're grateful for the assistance of Chepstow boat club.
Unfortunately the tides are against us for 2012 and we'll be unable to re-run the boat trip. We could run the trip, but it would have to take place in the dark, during the Ball! Our apologies for not having Jarkman's Patent Tide Resynchroniser Device available yet.
